MOYSA opens the season at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall with a bang
Collaborating with G.E. Lazaridis and V. Varvareso, under the direction of Hilarion Galatis
The Youth Symphony Orchestra of the Thessaloniki Concert Hall (MOYSA) opens in the most dynamic way the artistic season at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall, collaborating on Thursday, September 29, 2022 with the charismatic soloists George-Emmanouil Lazaridis Rumor Orchestra Director Hilarion Ionescu-Galatis.
Refreshed in its composition, following the hearings of young musicians in early September and playing a leading role in the organization's new art program, Moyssa continues and evolved its multifaceted presence in the cultural events of Thessaloniki. This time she collaborates on the stage of the "Friends of Music" hall with two multipurpose, active and distinguished artists, who excel with their memorable appearances in Greece and abroad, as evidenced by the excellent reviews written about them.
Born in Thessaloniki in 1978, the internationally renowned composer and pianist George E. Lazaridis served as artistic director of the Thessaloniki Concert Hall and pioneered the establishment of important educational institutions, such as MOYSA and the International Festival.
The acclaimed pianist Vassilis Varvaresos was born in Thessaloniki in 1983. He has won the First Prize and a "Prize for Excellent Interpretation" at the International Petar Konjovic Youth Competition (Belgrade), "Award for Best of the Greek Artist" Award at the International Competition "Maria Horogiorgou-Sigara" and the 3rd Prize at the "George Enescu" (Bucharest) International Competition.
Moyasa's musical meeting with George-Emmanouil Lazaridis and Vassilis Varvaesso is directed by the famous Romanian master.
